HORNBILL TRAFFICKING WILDLIFE
About the Client: The Hornbill Magazine is published for the members of The Bombay Natural History Society. This BNHS Hornbill Special Edition documented the ways of illegal trade. The magazine was a compilation of articles by scientists/activists who have been working on and off field to fight the trade. The cover needed to be compiling and be a representation of all what the articles in the magazine carried.
Brief: Cover Design
The Outcome: The aim was to move away from any sort of gory depictions of visuals. The cover also had to be representative of most species that are affected by the trade. Due to the elaborate detailing in the drawing, we minimized the usage of colour in them. This also helped us highlight the streaks of blood in red, against the yellow backdrop.
