PAINTING MUMBAI'S WILDLIFE: WORKSHOP
We were asked to conduct a sustainability related workshop as a part of Agastya's Curiosity Carnival. In batches, each spanning across 45 minutes, we helped 110 plus participants (mostly kids from various schools) paint these Leopard faces on Supari-leaf plates. While they painted them, we discussed some facts about these big cats and how they house in our city's greens. The kids also told us about their favourite animal...our favourite was the young boy who shouted "Anaconda from Brazil" with pride as his fellow class mates who had just said "Dog, Cat and Tiger" looked in awe! We aim to make our workshops be a reason for the participants to 'think' about the subject they are painting.
